Nut-and-Carrot Loaf

2 cups bread crumbs
2 cups ground carrots
1 cup chopped nuts (any kind)
4 eggs
2 cups strained tomatoes
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons minced onion

Mix crumbs with carrots, chopped nuts, beaten eggs, strained tomatoes, melted butter, salt, pepper and minced onion.  Pack into a greased loaf pan (9 by 5-inches).  Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.  Serve with cream sauce.

Yield: About 6 servings
