Brazil-nut Chips
1 1/2 cups shelled whole Brazil nuts
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon salt

Cover nuts with cold water.  Bring slowly to a boil.  Simmer 2 to 3 minutes.  Drain and cut inot thin lengthwise slices, about 1/8-inch thick.  Spread in shallow pan.  Dot with butter.  Sprinkle with salt.  Bake in moderate 350 degree oven 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Yield: about 2 cups
