Orange-Coconut Custard

3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups milk
3/4 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
3/4 teaspoon grated orange rind
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup shredded coconut
1 cup 40 per cent bran flakes

Combine eggs, sugar and salt.  Gradually add milk and mix well.

Add vanilla, orange rind, nutmeg, coconut and bran flakes.

Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole.  Place  casserole in pan of hot water.

Bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees, about one hour or until set.

Yield: Six to eight servings
