Double Layer Fudge

Chocolate Layer:

1 cup evaporated milk
2 1/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup butter
16 marshmallows
1 package (6-ounce) semi-chocolate pieces
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts

Combine evaporated milk, sugar, salt and butter and marshmallows in 2-quart saucepan.  Bring to full, all over boil, stirring constantly, 5 minutes.  Remove from heat.  Stir in semi-sweet chocolate pieces and vanilla until smooth.  Add walnuts.  Divide mixture between 2 waxed paper or foil-lined 8-inch square pans.

Butterschotch Layer:

Repeat directions for chocolate layer, substituting one 6-ounce package (1 cup) butterscotch morsels.  Divide butterscotch mixture in half and spread over chocolate layers.  Chill until firm.  Cut into 1 1/4-inch pieces. 

Top with walnut halves.
