Chocolate Honey Bread

(Yield: 1 loaf)

2 3/4 cups sifted flour
2 1/2 teapsoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teapsoon salt
1 cup honey
2 Tablespoons shortening
1 egg
1 Tablespoon grated orange peel
3/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup chopped nuts
1 cup semisweet-chocolate morsels

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt.

Blend honey and shortening.  Add egg and grated orange peel and beat well.  Add flour mixture alternately with orange juice.  Stir in nuts and 1/2 cup chocolate morsels.

Turn into greased, waxed-paper lined loaf pan, 10 by 5 by 3 inches.  Sprinkle remaining chocolate morsels on top of batter.

Bake in 325-degree oven about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
