Fruit Upside-Down Gingerbread

1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
8 pecan halves
1 can (1 lb.) fruit cocktail
1 package gingerbread mix

Melt butter in 9-inch ring mold (1 1/2 quart); blend in brown sugar.  Spread this over bottom of pan.  Arrange pecan halves, if desired, and well-drained fruit cocktail over sugar mixture.

Follow directions for gingerbread on packaged mix; pour over fruit.  Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

Immediately place serving plate on pan and turn pan and plate upside-dosn.
