Apple Pudding

Apple Pudding

4 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons baking powder
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups milk
2 to 3 cups chopped apples

Make dough of flour, salt, baking powder, butter and milk.  Roll on board.  Spread with apples.  Roll over, pinching sides and ends together.  Place in baking pan and cover with sauce.

Bake 1 1/2 hours in 350-degree oven.

Sauce:

1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
6 cups water

Combine ingredients in saucepan and heat slowly until sugar is dissolved and butter melted.  Pour over rolled dough in pan.
