Swedish Style Meatballs

3 Tablespoons milk
1 egg
1/2 cup rolled oats - quick cooking
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 ound ground beef
2 teaspoon salad oil, melted butter or margarine
1 cup sweet or sour cream
1 teaspoon flour
2 or 3 cups cooked noodles or rice

Beat milk and egg together with fork.  Crumble oats fine by crushing in hand. Add milk and egg, oats and seasoning to ground beef.  Mix well.  Shape into balls about 1 inch in diameter.  Brown on all sides in oil over moderate heat.  Blend cream with flour, add balls stirring well.  Cook over very low heat 5 to 10 minutes stirring occasionally, until thickened.  Serve with hot noodles or rice.  Makes 4 to 6 servings.
