Lemon Spice Balls
Lemon Spice Balls
1/4 cup sift powdered sugar
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
1 cup sifted flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup walnuts, chopped fine
1 teaspoon, fine-grated lemon peel
Gradually add sifted powdered sugar to butter, creaming until fluffy. Add lemon extract. Stir in sifte flour, salt, cinnamon, lemon peel and nuts. Blend well. Shape into balls approximately 1-inch in diameter, place on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven about 15 mintues, until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet immediately and roll gently in sifted powdered sugar. Cool, then roll in powdered sugar again. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
