Boil to firm ball stage 245 degrees
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
While this is cooking, beat 4 egg yolks light and lemon colored.
Then pour the syrup over. Keep beating 1 teaspoon flavoring if oil of peppermint is used, 3 drops. 1 cup nut meats in icing for divinity or in pan like fudge.
