Caramel Ham Loaf
Caramel Ham Loaf
1 12 oz. can chopped ham or luncheon meat
1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
3 slices canned pineapples
Push ham well on all sides with 2 tined forks. Saute in skillet, without fat until brown on all sides.
Meanwhile combine sugar, vinegar, mustard, and cloves. Score top of ham 1/4 inch deep and 1/4 inch wide. Slowly spoon half of sugar mixture on scored surface. Turn bottom side up, score bottom, spoon on remainder of mixture.
Place pineapple, cut in 1 inch wedges, around ham. Simmer over low heat 3 minutes.
